PCID: Christians Call Muslims for Joint Battle Against Violence
9 September 2010---The Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue (PCID) asked over a billion Islam believers throughout the world for a joint battle against violence as Muslims are ending their Ramadan observance with an Eid'l Fitr (Festival of Breaking the Fast) on September 10. PCID president Cardina; Jean-Louis Tauran and secretary Pier Luigi Celata maintain confidence that "we will be able to oppose violence among followers of different religions and promote peace and harmony among various religious communities."
